Personal History Trevor grew up in Valparaiso, Indiana, along with 2 younger sisters. His parents were both professors at Valparaiso University, his mom in the Business College, and his dad in the College of Arts and Sciences. He grew up around the culture and higher learning, but as he became a teen, felt that being safe and secure was not for him. As he started looking around for colleges to go to, he learned about the rich history at Purdue of people being part of the Air Force and becoming high ranking officers and astronauts. He applied to the College of Engineering, wanting to major in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering so he could become a pilot. At the same time, he joined the ROTC on campus when he was admitted.
